What
type of work are booking in the Florida Market? Modeling
or Acting?
Reeb:
I try to stick mainly to modeling. It seems to be something
I enjoy a lot, even more then being on screen. It captures
a genuine moment instead of scripted scenarios. On occasion
I'll do an acting gig here and there depending on the pay.
We
heard about the Pepsi spot you did, where you started as
an extra and weaseled your way up to the front. How did
you pull that off?
Reeb:
Nancy at Teen talent in Boca Raton Florida found the
Pepsi gig for me. She is a great gal! I never meet her before
the gig, just over the internet and phone. When we mett
at the gig, she was very cool. She introduced me to someone
who then upgraded my on set status to a Featured extra.
Much better pay!
What
type of advice would you give others interested in working
the Florida market?
Reeb:
The Florida market is DRY! If you want to work down
here, be prepared to travel. West Palm Beach, Miami, take
what you can get and establish a name for yourself.
What
can we expect to see from you in the next few months. Any
projects? Plans? Moves?
Reeb:
The next few months I will be working on a short film
project with a director down in South Florida named Jason
Scher. It is a partially animated independent type project
and sounds fun.
I recently
shot with a damn good photographer, Dennis Ho. He does some
beautiful work. He has shot for a lot of musical acts such
as Weezer, Ozma, The Pawn Rook Four, etc. His site is WWW.Indierockphoto.com.
I also just finished up a shoot with a Photographer named
Darice Hofstein. I'm in the process of re-shooting my compcards
and working on building my portfolio. The season is near,
so its time to start kicking ass and I must be prepared.
